ABOUT US
Text Box: As a company, we have been trading under the name of E&M Office Equipment Ltd. since 1992. However, the roots of the company go back as far as 1935 when Stanley Grant, grandfather of the present owners left the L.C. Smith Typewriter Company, (later to become Smith Corona) to set up his own business. After World War II, he was joined by his three sons, Lesley, Sidney and Russell (Bill) who went on to form a company called Electric & Manual Typewriter Service Ltd. whose core business was indicated by the company name. During the 1960’s David Nunn joined the company and remains with us to the present. Russell’s two sons, Geoffrey and Steven, joined the company in the 1970’s and along with David Nunn, took the company forward into Word Processors and eventually into the world of Computers, Printers and Networks; along with other electric and electronic office equipment including calculators, dictating machines, shredders and binding machines. By the early 1990’s it became obvious that the company name was no longer relevant, but as all our clients new us as ’E&M’ it was decided to retain that part of the old name and add the more general ’Office Equipment’ to bring it more up to date. We continue to offer the same level of customer service and honourable business practice that ensures we retain the long term loyalty of our customers.
